NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Majestic Ape Music’s rising country artist Lauren Reno is set to release her highly anticipated sophomore album, Gold Rush, on Friday, September 23, 2022. The 11-song collection, co-written and produced by her husband and collaborator Ben Reno, promises to deliver heartfelt storytelling infused with vintage tones and electrifying performances. Fans can pre-save and pre-order the album starting September 9 on all major streaming platforms.

A Journey Through Nostalgia and Romance

Recorded at Majestic Ape Studios and other renowned Nashville spaces, Gold Rush captures Reno’s signature style: a mix of emotive storytelling and rich instrumentation. With songs like “Me and the Neon,” “White Lies,” and “Crooked Smile,” the album channels the essence of the Midwest and southern Americana, painting vivid tales of heartache, resilience, and romance.

"This album is my treasure box," Lauren Reno shares. "I hope every listener finds a piece of themselves in it—whether it’s through shared experiences of love, pain, or hope. Music connects us all."

Co-writer and producer Ben Reno describes the album as "a traveling record," ideal for cross-country journeys and nostalgic escapes. “Lauren’s powerhouse vocals, paired with timeless influences from 90s country to legends like Tom Petty and Bob Dylan, create something truly magical,” he adds.

A Rising Voice in Country Music

Born in rural Nevada to a family steeped in music and hard work, Lauren Reno’s journey has been shaped by her roots. As the daughter of a gold miner and a Capitol Records-signed musician, Reno grew up with influences ranging from Patsy Cline to Johnny Cash. She honed her craft performing in honky tonks and local venues while working long shifts at a gold mine.

Her debut EP, Seasons, released under her maiden name Lauren Dimock, showcased her acoustic Americana style. Now based in Nashville with her family, Reno continues to build on her legacy as a co-owner of the hit-making Majestic Ape Studios and a champion of raw, authentic country music.

Critics have praised Reno for her “blend of outlaw country and Americana-folk roots” and her “big, soulful vocals” that set her apart in the crowded genre.
